Fifteen years running an agency and more than 197 businesses across a lot of industries. Before that, a broadcast journalism degree and a career spent writing, which is a slightly unusual route into SEO and turns out to matter more than you would think. Here is the record.

AuthorBusiness Therapy: The Anxious Entrepreneur’s Quick Guide to Success. A microbook you can read in one sitting, arguing that living slowly is how you conquer your business faster. It is drawn from fifteen years of running an agency and watching owners burn themselves out chasing speed. It is also, not coincidentally, why I will tell you eight to twelve weeks rather than thirty days.
Editor, Faceted Media MagazineReal Stories. Real News. A daily publication covering AI, technology and business, with a particular focus on female-led companies. I edit it, which means I spend a lot of time on the other side of the desk deciding what makes a story worth running. That is unreasonably useful when the job is getting a client placed in press, because I already know what lands in an editor’s inbox and what gets deleted.
Business TherapyIntensive, hands-on sessions with business owners working through what is actually stuck. Usually it is not the thing they came in about. This is the part of my work that is not technical, and it is frequently the part that changes the most.
SpeakingKeynotes, group sessions and local events, plus podcasts and panels. Usually on search, AI visibility, or the gap between what business owners are told to do and what actually moves anything.
TeachingOnline courses, virtual workshops and in-person workshops at local events. Explaining this work to people who are never going to hire me keeps me honest about which parts genuinely matter and which parts are just billable.
